ROSES ARE RED & SO IS MY AURA (PARTLY)

Posted on 08/08/202408/12/2025 by Connie White

W.J. Colville says, “The powerful animal aura of the external man, which often appears to a clairvoyant as bright red in color, is of great use in the production of the most external feats of magic.” He continues, “An exterior and rather coarse grade of aura is employed, often beneficially, by magnetic healers and others who resort to manipulation with a view to conveying strength to debilitated bodies.” He teaches that practitioners, “who depend largely upon some measure of physical contact, or at least upon close physical proximity to their subjects,” utilize this red energy force.

This makes sense to me. When Monika George interpreted my aura photo, she asked me if I was a hiker. The red, she said, indicated physical (external) energy. I told her that while I didn’t hike, I did swim in the cold water. It was the seventh of February when she took the photograph. I was also enrolled in massage therapy school where I regularly employed the physical force of which Colville speaks, to manipulate bodies. I acquired the red energy through cold water swimming. But I could have just as easily obtained it through hiking.

Here is yet another license tag pic I snapped while I was out on the road.

Red Represents the Fire Houses in Astrology.

And that includes Sagittarius, in which my natal tenth house hosts Neptune. My Midheaven is also there. Craig Hamilton-Parker, says that red, a primary color, is one “of passion.” He points out that it is associated with sexuality, vitality, anger and athleticism. His description matches my Venus which is in the masculine sign of Aries which is ruled by Mars. The red in my aura photo, appears on the right side of my body which new age teaching defines as the masculine side. My South Node is also in Aries. And my Saturn is in Leo, another fire sign.

Dominant Elements in My Natal Chart

Craig’s and Colville’s color analyses especially correlate to both the early part of this life as well as to my “past” life which I was born remembering.

But I haven’t yet talked about that. So let me keep going. In May of this year, I took a trip to NC. I changed the outfit in which I was going to fly several times before I left the house. Finally, I settled on red yoga pants and a top that pictures red high heels with the caption, “When in doubt, wear red.” When I arrived at the car rental counter within the Charlotte airport, wearing that outfit, I was given a free upgrade to a beautiful red Camero.

When I recounted those details to my mother, she said that when I was little, I always wanted to wear red. There is a trend on TikTok about dressing to match your Venus sign. I suppose it depends on the situation. After all, to everything there is a season. In this case, however, it certainly worked out well for me. But all red is not vibrant. The darker the red, Craig says, the more “sinister” the energy may be. And that concept lines up with what I see in my aura photo below.

My Chiron in Aries is right there at my solar plexus where the clear red starts turning murky and where dark shadows cover the edges. The nurse in me, who has dressed countless wounds, sees the dark perimeter as eschar which indicates the wound needs debridement. Yoga Journal editors reminder us that the solar plexus is about identity and power. And a Chiron wound in Aries is one that is about loss of power and an identity in question. I’m not going to jump too far ahead though, because I haven’t yet made it to the Chiron part of my story.
